Just recently I talked about Instagram Pods and how they are being formed and used to try and beat the Instagram algorithm. There are split opinions on Instagram pods, some claim it is trying to cheat the system but the reality in my eyes is that they wouldn’t be necessary at all if Instagram had not implemented such a silly algorithm on the feed in the first place.
Say what you like about Instagram and their blatant rip off from Snapchat. Continue to blast them on Twitter for being copycats if you will, however the simple facts can’t be ignored. You might want to stay a Snapchat purist and never want to jump ship but the reality is that Instagram is winning where it matters.
It is no secret that you should have some form of presence on Instagram by now. You may be a business, personal brand, client based service or online publication – you need to be on there. If you are not on Instagram you are missing a big opportunity.
There are still people out there trying to blast “copycat Instagram” particularly over their most recent move which is the launch of geostickers in their stories feature. We have to start looking past the whole Instagram copycat spiel and start looking at how to leverage the platform for our benefit, be it business or personal.
Facebook you can find hate and resentment if you want to find it, just dive into a topic about politics and you are there in the thick of it. YouTube is a mess with people posting hate not only towards creators but others in the comments and Twitter is well…yep lets not go down the path of where Twitter is at.
