Hello everyone reading this! Today I’m throwing out an update around this site, what life has been like going back to freelancing so far as well as new services I’m offering and what is going to be happening with the content on this blog.
Twitter is in trouble, Twitter stock is crashing, the platform is struggling to grow, zero users in the last quarter…blah blah blah…we all know the problems Twitter faces at the moment I’m getting bored talking about them.
It truly is amazing how things change in the space of a year. At the start of last year, Snapchat was hot property, marketers and influencers were going all in and it appeared that Snapchat couldn’t be stopped. Analysts were predicting 2017 to be the year Snapchat exploded but Instagram had other ideas.
‘Duh…You don’t say Mark! Of course they are not the same thing!’
I mean it sounds ludicrous right? It makes sense, you want design work done then you go hire a graphic designer. You want to market your business or product to the masses then you go hire a marketer…so why are many companies insisting on rolling the two things into one?
Alright, alright…I know I have been giving quite a generous amount of coverage to the S8+ over the last week given that I usually talk about social media for your business but this last one I needed to put together. Several people have told me they are switching from iPhone to S8 after hearing me sing its praises. Continue reading “The First Things You Need To Do With Your S8 or S8+”
Yeah you read the title right, Twitter didn’t grow at all during the last quarter. In typical Twitter fashion, shares began to slide before the earnings call and then completely tanked when it became clear just how bad things were over the last quarter.
I’m on holiday for two weeks so I wasn’t expecting to be putting up any new blog posts but I couldn’t wait until I came back for this one so I had to sit down and get it together while it was still fresh in my head. I made the leap this week, after beta testing iOS 11 and feeling completely underwhelmed I moved to a device with stunning hardware and new software – the S8+.
Usually around this time every year I am looking forward to the unveiling of the next iPhone, I have been an Apple fan for years but I am also no stranger to Android and I have always kept an eye on what they were up to. For the past number of years I have maintained that the pure Google experience on Android is best but the S8+ has me extremely interested.
Email clients have become incredibly popular over recent years, many of us are now using email clients and of course when I refer to clients I am talking about the email programmes on our computers – not people I do work for.
Twitter verification. Once it was coveted and many of us craved the blue tick on our accounts. Why? Approval, validation, the feeling of being accepted into the group of the Twitter elite. I was verified on Twitter before the application process opened and several times in the past I have spoke about how I feel there is a lack of value to being verified now.
